Later on that evening Sonny wakes up and notices Alexis is gone. He gets out of bed, looks around the floor for his boxers and puts them on. He walks out of the room and down the hall into the living room. He sees Alexis sitting on the couch staring into the fireplace. He goes over and kneels next to her. �Would you like me to build you a fire?� She just shakes her head no. He can tell she�s been crying and that concerns him deeply. He gets up off his knees and sits on the couch next to her. He places his one arm behind her back and gently pulls her into his chest. She tries to wipe the tears from the side of her face before her head hits. �Are you okay?� He very quietly asked. �It�s not you Sonny, it�s me.� �What�s you?� �I just feel lost all of a sudden. Like I don�t know where I belong.� �You belong right here where you are, in my arms.� She looks up at him. �Do you really think we have a chance at a real relationship?� He pushes her head back onto his chest and runs his fingers through her hair. �I think we can have anything we want to have.� �What if I�m not sure what I want?� He kisses the top of her head. �Then we�ll figure it out together.� �I�m sorry Sonny.� �Don�t be sorry for the way you feel or for more importantly telling me how you feel. I want you to be honest with me Alexis and in turn I�ll be honest with you.� She picks her head up and looks him in the eyes before leaning forward and pulling him into a kiss. �What do you say we get dressed and go to dinner.� He stated as he broke the kiss. �I�d make us something but considering you haven�t lived here in months I doubt I�ll find much in the cupboards.� �You want to go to dinner?� She asked shockingly �I don�t know about you but sex always makes me hungry.� He laughed trying to lighten the mood. �Sonny I�m sitting here in nothing but your shirt and you want to go to dinner?� �You don�t have anything else on?� He replied intrigued with the aspect. �In that case I say we go back to the other room.� �That�s not what I meant. I was just saying I don�t have anything to ware.� �Don�t worry you don�t need much for what I have in mind.� He picks her up and begins to carry her back into the bedroom. �What happened to dinner?� She asked �Dinner can wait.� �But I still have nothing to ware?� She laughed @---------------------------------@ Sonny and Alexis come walking off the elevator and into the dinning room of the Metro Court. They walk over towards the hostess and she immediately escorts them to a table. Sonny pulls Alexis�s chair out for her before unbuttoning his suit jacket and taking his own seat. �Would you care for a bottle of our house wine this evening, Mr. Corinthos?� Sonny looks at Alexis who just smiles at him. �That would be great.� He slides his hand across the table and takes hers in his. �If I haven�t told you, you look stunning tonight.� �You didn�t give me much time to pick something out.� She replied as she looked around the room. �My Money, my time.� He laughed �If you would have just let me go back to Wyndermere instead of insisting I picked something from the boutique, it wouldn�t have cost you a dime.� She replied still looking around the room. �What can I say I didn�t want to let you out of my site.� She just gives him a whatever you say look as her eyes continue to search the room �Would you like to go someplace else?� She leans into the table. �No offense Sonny but do you really think this is a good idea?�. �Having dinner with the most beautiful woman in the world?� He asked seductively. She looks around the room again. �Councilor what�s the matter?� She really looks at him for probably the first time since they got dressed and went out. �I don�t know Sonny�.it�s just a few hours ago we were.� She tilts her head sideways and closes her one eye. �We were ���well you know what we were doing�..I don�t think I need to spell it out.� Sonny can�t help but flash his dimples at her as he smiles brightly. �And now were���.� �Having dinner.� He replied slightly laughing at her. �Nobody is going to know what we�ve been doing unless you tell them.� She pulls her hand out of his. �Alexis you really need to calm down, we didn�t do anything wrong.� She looks around the room again and this time notices Nikolas and Emily at sitting at a table not that far away. �Maybe we should go.� Sonny�s attitude changed from a playful mode to an almost confused and hurt mode. �Alexis do you regret what happened between us.� �No.� She replied immediately. �It�s just �..I don�t know�.I guess I just feel awkward.� She looks deep into his eyes. �We�ve been down this road before and��well we both know how things turned out.� �I told you.� He replied taking her hand once again in his. �Things are going to be different this time. You just have to trust me.� �I do trust you Sonny, it�s just��..� �Are you ashamed of me?� �No.� �Did I force you into something you didn�t want? �I think after doing it not once but twice you would know the answer to that question.� �Do you enjoy spending time with me?� �You know I do.� He picks up the menu�s and hands one to Alexis. �Then I say we order dinner. Unless you�d rather go back to the lake house.� Alexis smiles at him as she picks up a menu. �You know you have one of the most beautiful smiles I�ve ever seen.� �Flattery will get you just about anything you want Mr. Corinthos.� She joked �I wish you would have told me that years ago.� He joked back. Alexis was about to say something when she noticed the elevator doors open and Ric and Skye of all people step off. She slid down in her chair and pulled the menu in front of her face. Peeking over top the menu. �What are you doing.� She looked over Sonny�s left shoulder. �I told you this wasn�t a good idea.� Sonny looked back behind him and then back at Alexis. He took her menu from her and gave her a look that made her sit up straight. �I don�t get it? He already thinks we�re sleeping together, so why does him being here bother you so much?� She held her hands up. �Because now we are.� Sonny couldn�t help but laugh as he stood up and held his hand out. �What are you doing?� �I think we should go over and say hello.� �Sonny Corinthos you better sit down right now.� She laughed as she hit him with the menu. �Ah there�s that smile I love so much.� He replied retaking his seat. �Okay I promise, I�ll calm down and stop worrying about who might see us together if you stop teasing me.� �And stop being so paranoid?� �I am not being paranoid.� She stated firmly. �No of course not�.not you Alexis Davis most under control lawyer I�ve ever meet.� Smiling. �You�re teasing again.� �And you still haven�t calmed down.� She just gave him an evil look. He picks up his wine glass. �Here�s to a lovely romantic evening between friends.� She picks up her glass and taps it against his. �Between friends.� �And lovers.� He adds just as she takes a sip nearly spitting it out. |
