| CHAPTER 11
Alexis is standing in front of the mirror in her bedroom at the lake house. She picks up a pair of sunglasses off her dresser and puts them on her face. �I don�t know what made me think these were going to cover the stitches.� She said out loud to herself. She pulls them off and throws them back onto the bed. Looking down she asks herself. �How am I going to cover for you this time Nikolas.� �So he has been the one hurting you.� Alexis slowly picked her head up and looked into the mirror. �How did you know I was here?� �I�ve been looking all over for you for hours. Leave it to you to be in the last place on my list.� He stated as he walked closer to her and she closed her eyes. �Wishing I wasn�t hear Alexis isn�t going to change anything.� �Sonny you don�t understand.� Alexis began to cry as their eyes meet each others through the mirror.� He took her arm and gently pulled her body around. She fell back onto her dresser as he wiped the tears from her cheek. �I told you I�d help you find out what�s wrong with him, but I can�t stand by and watch him hurt you like this. You have no idea how hard it is to just stand here with you��. looking like that �.� His fists begin to close. �and not going after him to�.. � �Please don�t hurt him.� He looks at the bandage over her eye and carefully pulls her hair back off her face. �It�s time you took your girls and left that house.� �Sonny.� He puts his finger over her lips. �There�s no negotiating this Alexis.� There was something in the tone of his voice that told her there was no use in fighting him on this. �I�ll pack the girls in the morning and move back here.� �You�re not safe here.� �We�re not moving in with you Sonny.� �The girls and Viola are back at my place now.� He says before he pulls her into a soft gently kiss catching her off guard. �We�ll discuss living arrangements in the morning.� �If you think just because I�m starting to fall for you again, I�m going to allow you to control my life��� �I don�t want to control you Alexis.� He said cutting her off. �I just want to keep you and your children safe.� �Sonny���� He once again put his finger upon her lips and held out his other hand. �Come sit with me on the bed.� They both made their way over to the bed and sat on the edge. �Alexis why are we playing these games with one another?� Sonny asked. �What games?� She asked looking away. �Don�t do this.� �I should be saying that to you.� He began to run his fingers through her hair. �I know you feel the same way I do.� She looks up at him. �I can�t let you hurt me like that again Sonny��I just can�t.� �What has happened in the past needs to stay in the past.� He rubs the side of her face. �We have to much of a future ahead of us to just ignore the feelings we share for one another.� She closes her eyes and he takes it upon himself to kiss her lips lightly. Slowly he pulls away and notices her eyes are still closed. So he places his one arm around her back and pulls both her body and lips to his. They share a very long intensive kiss before he again pulls away. She opens her eyes and he looks deep into her soul. His eyes don�t leave hers as he slowly begins to unbutton her blouse. She tilts her head to the one side giving him full access to her soon to be exposed neck. With slightly a quicker movement he pushes her shirt down her arms and releases it from her body. He can�t help but play with her bra straps as he licks her neck. �Sonny before this goes any further promise me one thing.� �What is it you want Alexis?� He asked as he nibbled on the lower portion of her earlobe. �I need some kind of reassurance from you.� She replied finding it hard to answer him with his tongue now deep inside her ear. He looked up at her and their eyes once again found the others as he laid her body back on the bed. He smiled at how beautiful she looked before he slowly brought his body down on top of hers. �What kind of reassurance do you need Alexis.� He asked with a soft, gentle, loving tone. �The kind I don�t think you can give me.� She replied with less doubt in her eyes then he�s seen in a long time. �Do you want me to promise you I�ll still be here in the morning?� He asked as he ran his fingers up and down her stomach from her neck down to her belly button. �Because I will be.� He lifts her head and brings her lips to his. Their mouths open instantaneously as their tongues began a dance of their own. She can�t help but feel the urgency inside her body to stop fighting and just let him in. And it seemed the harder she fought it, the harder the feeling was to fight. She knew if she let him get that close again she�d fall in love with him. Something she promised herself she�d never let happen. Or was it too late, was she already starting to fall in love with him. She knew there was only one thing left to do. She tired so hard to push him off of her as his hand made it�s way down past her bully button and unto the button of her pants, but her subconscious just wouldn�t let her do it. Her own body was fighting against her and she was losing. �If you want me to stop councilor, just say the word and I will.� He whispered in her ear as he reached underneath her and unbuckled her bra slowly bringing her straps down around her forearms. She so wanted to yell stop��stop Sonny, just stop we shouldn�t do this, but the words just wouldn�t fill her mouth. Suddenly Sonny stopped what he was doing and got off the bed. He stood in front of her and looked up and down her body before he once again locked his eyes on hers. He could tell her defenses were giving away but she was to afraid to give into them. He unbuttoned his own pants before bringing his hands up, unzipping hers and grabbing a hold of each side. �Tell me what you want me to do Alexis.� He said as his eyes played a very seductive game with hers. Without thinking she lifted her hips off the bed giving him permission to remove them from her body. �I do want you Sonny Corinthos.� She then replied as she held her hand out to him. �I don�t know why but I do.� Sonny couldn�t help but shine his dimples at her as he brought his body down on hers. �I promise things will be different this time around.� He whispered in her ear before they once again��� became one.� @--------------------------------------@ Sonny was running his fingers through Alexis�s hair as she laid sound asleep on his bare chest. He couldn�t believe how good he felt having her this close to him again. The way her leg draped across his body and fell in between his, as thou it was a perfect fit, like it was always meant to be there. Her fingers began to slowly move across his chest and he cursed himself for not closing the blinds on the window. He wasn�t ready for her to wake up. He didn�t want morning to come. He was afraid of how she would react realizing that he was there with her and the outcome of what happened last night. Was she really ready for what happened? Did she really want it to happen or did he just allow himself to believe she wanted it as much as he did? Could he really keep the promise he made her. Of things being different this time or was he just kidding himself? Alexis let out a quiet moan as she started to wake. Her fingers began to dance more abruptly across his chest. She couldn�t remember the last time she slept this good. She keep her eyes closed as he continued to play with her hair. She couldn�t believe she actually missed his touch as much as she did. Both knew the other was awake but neither of them wanted to speak. They didn�t want to ruin the moment. They were both afraid of what the other might say and there was just something about the moment that neither one of them were ready to hear it. No matter what it was, they just weren�t ready. After a few minutes the silence was finally broken when Sonny�s cell phone rang. Alexis picked her head off of his chest and he leaned over her to try and find it. Their eyes started to meet and Alexis quickly looked away. There was just something about the way she did it that Sonny decided to ignore his phone and pull her into an extremely seductive kiss. He need her to know that nothing was more important to him then what was happening between the two of them. As far as he was concerned the rest of the world could wait. |
