A schutzhund dog is the ultimate canine member of society. It is a dog that is obedient,confident in all surroundings, very social, and has the physical and mental constitution to withstand the triathlon of dogsports.
The most commonly seen breeds involved in schutzhund are German Shepherd Dogs, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, and Belgian Malinois. However any breed, or mix, can participate, depending on individual suitability of the dog.
