A change of pace brought
us the second
‘Best of Brighton’
band of the night,
Just Bizarre.
Consisting of the aforementioned
Rachel Innes; on vocals,
keyboards and tambourine, as well as the ultra-talented
singer/songwriter/guitarist
Kenny Moreland .. we were
presented with an acoustic mix of Celtic, soul, r&b and jazz. Being sandwiched
between two full-on electric bands can’t have been easy for JB, but they won
through with flying colours.
Their fanbase was treated to all their favs; ‘Remember’, ‘Weaving Dreams’,
Wonder’ .. plus new composition, ‘Help Me Down’, and rounding off
with a soulful rendition of a U2 classic. A classic performance from two equally
talented performers.

As Just Bizarre
shed bucketfuls of adrenalin,
Jon Pratty, former Sunday Times journalist

capture the moment that will be immortalised on the cover of the imminent

Bizarre: Acoustic Gurus In A Digital Age
It's funny how the surprising can,
after four decades, still knock yer socks off.
Until I chatted to the Bizarre duo,
Rachel
Innes &
Kenny Moreland, little did I know they
were such unique examples of the new digital music-age.
Indeed, the dream that is Just Bizarre was being gestated, @ the
foot of the Salt Lake City mountains, some four months ago .. now, here in
Brighton, they've turned the virtual into the actual and united their ever-
growing mp3.com fanbases in the ways of good old
fashioned songwriting and timeless tunes.

Bizarre: Denim, Leather & Rocket-Fuel!
As first gigs go, a late Monday @
The Evening Star was never going to be easy for Virtual Brighton Magazine’s (VBM)
featured band, Just Bizarre.
For the uninitiated, The
Evening Star, Surrey Street, Brighton, is a homely non-spit-and-polish (in
the current climate of fake plastic trees, that’s a compliment) one-level
drinking den. It offers rocket fuel (lager is for Hove Softies) to its
clientele, and plays regular host to a Monday night
open-mic for the up-and-coming & the just-plain-brave.

sitting in on one of our recording sessions?"
"Um, thanks, but who are you?"
You know we get busy here @ Virtual Brighton Magazine (VBM) and sometimes
it's hard to keep the old interest levels fuelled to max.
"Sorry, my name’s Kenny Moreland and I'm in a duo called
Just Bizarre .. we're recording @ The Metway, on
