The Band
The Players"My family has always been my strongest connection to music," said Rachel." My Parents opened the doors to music appreciation at a young age. I can remember vividly listening to classics like The Sound of Music, along with Bach and Mozart. I also started Ballet at age five followed by Classical Piano at age seven. She's a talented lass, our Rachel. She joined Illusion, a Brighton-based band, in 1994, performing nationwide. “I loved the atmosphere of being with a full band,” continues Rachel. “When the lights are on and the musicians play their first chord it is an amazing rush. When I moved to the USA in 1996 I formed my own band and did gigs in the around the Salt Lake City area.” Now she's back. With a debut album, Open Face, already doing the business, she's geared up to taking her new material on the road. "'just bizarre stand for all that's good about music .. keep it independent, keep it real!" Kenny Moreland is a Brighton-based singer/songwriter with worldly connections. He creates his self-written acoustic based rock tunes in Sussex studios and then promotes them via mp3.com. With a new album, Cloudburst, due early Spring 2002, and plaudits a plenty via the web, it seemed the right time for Kenny to get out on the road and bring his acoustic jiggery to the masses. And so we find Kenny collaborating and inventing on Rachel's new tracks. " He's a dream to work with," says Rachel.
