What was I thinking

I'm still asking myself that over this design. It is strung and the scale is layed out to be a dulcimer, and its got a good dulcimer sound, but it don't look like a traditional dulcimer.
Well who says we got to be traditional. This one has rosewood sides, and a rosewood stripe on the back. It has a sitka spruce soundboard, and maple on either side of the stripe on the back. It has a rosewood bridge, and a rosewood fretboard on a maple neck. Someone said "it looks like a genie bottle", so I guess we'll call it the "genie bottle dulcimer"

This is another maple dulcimer. It also has a sitka spruce soundboard, however it has a cherry neck, and doves flying towards crosses for soundholes. When I set this dulcimer up and played it the first time I was pleasantly surprised, easy to play, and a real full, resonating sound.
