As I was growing up, I was raised with a healthy respect for the Flag I have noticed parents don't seem to care anymore. They do not teach their children that respect. As our flag is being ushered past in a parade I see parents sitting down just watching it go by, Allowing their children to scream and play and ignore the flag as if it was nothing more than a piece of cloth flapping in the wind. Have you ever thought of the Flag this way...every red stripe is the blood the insures our freedoms, that in itself is worthy of more respect than what it is shown. Everytime you do not honor the flag you in turn are spitting in the faces of those who fought and died to keep us free. Next time your watching the flag go by in a parade stand up MAKE your children stop playing and give it the respect it deserves, honor every vet that has served our country...because they have earned it proudly.
Now as i turn on my T.V. I see people..no i don't even call them people DOGS, burning that same flag.....and in this country no less. If they want to burn the flag of the United States they need to go live somwhere that people have died for less, then come home and see if they want to burn the flag anymore.
