::..09/29/2003..:: ~~Cars n' Chairs~~ |
Ahhhh yeaahhhhhh. I don't usually take the time to blog before work, but today I have to take my car to get tha @%$#*$#@ check engine light checked. I just spent $580 bucks for those bastards to tell me there's nothing wrong with my car. Now I have to drop it off for a day's service? I'm demanding a rental.
So I got the office chair. Whhooowhee! $200 black leather. Worth every penny!

::..09/27/2003..:: ~~Shopping~~ |
Ahhhh, another weekend, and it feels sooo good. Just sitting here sipping my coffee without having to worry about chugging it to get to some stupid meeting.
Well I got the phone and office chair floor mat, but no office chair or TV yet. The chair I wanted (found online) wasn't available at Staples, and I didn't want to wait to order one. So I chose a backup one, which looked chintzy at the store. But I did get all the chores done. All I have to do this weekend is mow again.
Mowing sucks. It never ends. I can never stop mowing. Last time I did was a battle to chop the grass back to size. Anyway, I also need to futz with the javascript code to get this blog to look like a real blog. Mmmmm, Java....

::..09/20/2003..:: ~~HDTV~~ |
The weekend. I can't believe how often that 80's song "Everybody's working for the weekend" comes in to my head all week. It's nice to finally be here and to be able to veg. This weekend's big plans include buying a phone, an office chair, and an office chair floor mat. Not too exciting. The bigger news is that I'm also gonna shop for an HDTV. I've got it narrowed down to Sony or Panasonic, and certainly 32 inches. I can't fit anything bigger than that in my TV shelf wall space. Argh! Oh well, 32 in beats the crap out of my 19 in rounded screen P.O.S. After that, it's chores. Blech. Mow the yard, mount the remote control for the ceiling fan, inspect the attic for leaks, trim the trees, adjust the shelves in the armoire. I don't know how I'm going to fit in all the fun and crap in the same two days...

::..09/17/2003..:: ~~Dubya~~ |
|
Well, the dumb dumb can't stop putting his foot in his mouth. Today, 70% of Americans believe that Saddam Hussein had a link to the 9/11 attacks, thanks to Dubya's comments before the war. Now he is trying to distance himself from that by saying there is no evidence to support that link. He needs to make up his mind!

::..09/15/2003..:: ~~the first post in awhile~~ |
So this is my first post in awhile. Big woop. As I sit hear in my underwear, munching on trail mix, I can't think of much to say. We had more layoffs at work today. No one I am particularly close to was affected, but it's always very bad for morale. It's sad to say, because people's jobs are their livelihood, but my company has been carrying year's worth of deadwood, and is finally getting the nutz to fire the bottom feeders. So it's good in the end for the rest of us. I suppose.
