Distribution: Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia

Habitat: The Butterfly Agama live on the ground rather than in the trees. They should be kept in an screen top enclosure with deep substrate so they can dig deep burrows.

Color Discription: The back of the Butterfly Agama is a gray or olive green, the sides are yellow or red with black stripes.

Physical Discription: They lack a crust and gular pouch, but they do exhibit a wide gular fold

Size: 20"

Temperatures: The temperature should be between 85º F and 95º F degrees during the day and during the night 75º F degrees.

Breeding/Reproduction: These lizards are monogamous, the Butterfly Agama only has one mate. Like other lizards, they are oviparous.
