She hadn't known that when he left, Al would be going with him, but figured that he knew best. And after Mustang closed the gateway, she wasn't sure if she'd ever see him again. All she knew was that she loved him with all she was, and if that wasn't enough to bring him back, then nothing ever would be. She only had a feeling in her heart that she would.
Ed and Al got use to having each other around again. To Al being human again. But Ed never stopped being Ed. War had been on the horizon for sometime. Seven years later, Ed got caught up in the fight.
He died in the middle of Russia with Winry's name on his lips.

Logan had just come back. She hadn't seen him in several years. She'd gained control over her skin since the last time. It was just a peck.
She tried explaining it all to Remy, but he didn't seem to hear as he threw all her clothes into the hallway. He still didn't want to hear it when Logan came to tell him the truth. That it was innocent.
He didn't listen when Xavier tried to tell him the same.
When she ran, he wished he had listened.

Wace was boiling with anger. She could tell that much, but why she didn't know. "What's wrong, baby?"
"Don't be callin' me baby. 'es your baby. Fuck, Jen!" he screamed, throwing his arm towards the mantle, knocking off all her pictures.
She stood there, stunned. "Wace, what? What're you talkin' about?"
"Wace, what're you talkin' about?" he mimicked. "What the fuck do you think I'm talkin' about? I saw you! I saw the two of you! Fuck, Jen, Coppa?" He collapsed on the couch, defeated.
Confused, she thought back to the last time she'd even seen Coppa. "Oh, Wace. Baby, that, that wasn't. No. Nothin' like that," she whispered, falling to her knees in front of him.
"Like what, Jen? Like what?"

He didn't want to forgive her. She'd died and left him there. And he had to be the leader. Had to be strong. He was tired of pretending that he cared anymore.
Six months later, he came back. Still ragged, still broken.
Because he still cared about her. She was still the most important thing in his life, even dead. Even when he knew that she was never coming back.
That she was dead for good this time.
