She let the thought enter her mind.
Just for a moment...
She stared into his eyes. It would be so easy to just say ok, love me, let me love you. She even wanted to, but something held her back.
It would be many years before Sara confrotned what she had left behind. No one ever believed that she had a chance to stay there with Jareth, then again, no one ever believed it truely happened. They all thought it was a bad dream, a girlish nightmare. But she knew it wasn't. The look of love and pain in Jareth's eyes; what she felt for Jareth despite everything he had done to her and Toby, made it all too real.
But then she would go home to see her father and stepmother and Toby. Toby, who started playing football and had no memories of what had happened. Though he was scared of the dark for many years, his parents always thinking it was something that he would grow out of.
And she knew she had made the right choice.
"You have no power over me."
