Remy splashed his face with water one more time. He had seen the look of shock on Rogue�s face when he told her how he felt. She hadn�t known. Well know she does. Not that it matters, she is very much in love with the Wolverine, you can see it on her face when you mention his name, Remy thought. Well that settles it, she wants him, then I will bow out gracefully. Remy wiped his face with a paper towel before he headed back to the table.
�You ok, Remy?� she asked.
�Remy is fine. Are you?�
�A bit shocked.�
�Rogue, do you love the Wolverine?�
�What?� Rogue asked when the shock of Remy�s question wore off.
�Do you love him?
�I�I don�t know.�
�Remy thinks you do. Remy thinks you are very much in love with the Wolverine. And Remy thinks you should tell him.�
�It doesn�t matter if I do or not, Remy. He would never see me that way, and that�s what�s important.�
�But you are wrong chere. Wolverine he does see you like that. He saw you like that when we left the mansion tonight, in fact everyone did.�
�Glad to know that one part of this night is going right. Remy, I�m sorry if I�ve been horrible to you lately. Really.�
�Is nothing. No worries.�
�But what if I can�t make him happy? What if I�m not happy? What then?�
�This man, Wolverine, he is everything you want, no? Then go to him, chere. You will make him happy. That will make you happy. It will be enough, chere.� Remy stood up and walked to the other side of the table where Rogue sat. �Now come, let us return home, you will pretend you are surprised, then you will talk to Wolverine, and I will talk with the one I must talk with.� Remy pulled Rogue up from the seat and strolled towards the door.

�Thank you, Remy. This has been the nicest night out I�ve ever had,� Marie said as they reached the front door of the mansion.
�Remy is glad to help,� he said opening the door. �Remember, act surprised,� he whispered, leaning towards her for a quick peck on the cheek. The door opened wide and they walked in and past the library. �Oh, Rogue, Remy has something to show you in the library,� he almost yelled for the benefit of the rest of the group inside. He opened the door and led her inside.
�Surprise!� everyone yelled as she walked in.
�Oh my, what in the world,� she drawled, doing a good job of acting very surprised. Several people complimented Remy on doing a good job of keeping Rogue out for the night. He noticed Rogue taking the Wolverine aside to talk, and so satisfied went to find Storm.

�Storm?� Gambit said as he entered into the Goddess�s bedroom.
�Yes, Remy, I�m in here.�
�You wanted to see Remy, no?�
�Yes, I�ll meet you downstairs.�
There was a peace in Storm that Gambit admired. You could see it when she walked into a room, and even when she was mad as hell, and the winds whipped her hair around her face. There was always a sense of peace, but not now. She was on edge, almost pissed off. What has Remy done this time? he wondered as walked down the stairs and rejoined the party.

It was almost an hour later before he found her again. She was across the room talking to Jean. He waited until Jean left Storm�s side.
�Goddess, you wanted to see me?� Gambit asked cautiously as he walked towards Storm.
�Yes Remy. I did,� she said walking her way to the kitchen. After the few students hanging around left, Storm continued. �We need to talk. This afternoon you asked me to help you out with your troubles with Rogue. And I gave you advice. Now I will be taking my own advice,� she paused as if thinking over what to say.
�Before you say anything else, I just want to thank you Goddess, for your advice. Remy told Rogue how he feels and she choose the Wolverine.�
�Well that makes this somewhat easier for me then. Remy I care deeply for you and want to see our relationship go further than just friends,� she paused once more to gauge his reaction.
�Ororo, I agree. Remy just wasn�t sure what he wanted. Remy knows now. I would like to spend much more time with you, if at all possible.�
�Of course, Remy,� she replied smiling.
