hida's books
were here
okay, if you don't know who this is then you should just go away. seriously. right now. come on. what the hell is your problem?
           this is freaking
   KURT VONNEGUT, JR.
he wrote"Slaughterhouse 5", "Breakfast of Champions" , "Bluebeard" and "Cat's Cradle", along with a number of other books that i happen to own and adore. i love you kurt! i mean, um, if you havent read a kurt vonnegut book, you havent lived.
           well, this is
            JEFF NOON.
unbelievable stuff from this man. read "Vurt", and you won't be able to not become obsessed with him.
well, at least i wasn't. i cant stop thinking about these books."Pollen", "Automated Alice", "Pixel Juice" and his other stuff is way over the edge. way different , so good, if you don't think so you probably suck. no, definitely suck. unless you're sacha.
WALTER MOSLEY
        is the man.
the Easy Rawlins series includes "Devil in a Blue Dress" and "A Red Death", and a bazillion others which are both touching and gritty. hey, i said touching and gritty. "Futureland" is how i discovered him and  the mysteries, and now hes one of my heroes. i name my pets after his characters, because im so attached to them.
shut up, im not corny!
       DAVID SEDARIS
is one of the funniest people ever. "Naked", "Me Talk Pretty One Day", and "Holidays on Ice" are hilarious and kinda sweet.
really sweet. really sweet, and really funny, and sometimes kinda gross. but only if you think performance art involving bodily functions is gross.
mostly just
really funny.
  CHUCK PALAHNIUK
of course he wrote fight club. which is a major thing. but invisible monsters and lullaby rule too. when it comes to twists and surprises and making you care about seemingly  horrible  people, hes on top. and ive never read a better description of a frozen baby breaking. maybe i mean a more disturbing description. hell, hes the only one whos done it!

     DOUGLAS ADAMS
