[ the other poetry ]
A piece of me
fell away today
No longer there
to poison
and destroy
To finally
let go
long enough
to find out
who I really am
Without
the self-destructive
depression
and mind-numbing
ache of self-hate
Finally free from my chains.
More words
disconnected from the last
not the same
and they don't
have a purpose
Just expression
Quiet
simple
insignificant
Another poem sprouting
leaves
growing into
something beautiful
or perhaps
not beautiful at all.
[ go home ]
(This is the poem I wrote for Amber two years ago.) Like an angel in the sky, bursting through dark and dank clouds, you are the one spark of hope left for me; my wings are broken and torn, beaten by the rain, but the sunlight slowly rises into the sky, defeating the grey clouds, clouds that had  no silver lining, no opportunity to break apart, until the angel and the sun rose, shedding light upon all below, the tears and rain fading into the past.   No longer alone, I find the strength to stand, and breathe, and regain the happiness I remember.
These are all my original works, so please don't steal them.
