Sunset view from Wat Khoatrakra
in Thailand.
At first I wonder why we stayed
at Wat Khoatrakra until sunset? We went up to the roof top of the wat and
stayed there chatting. There were many caves in the mountain and the smell
of bat’s shit was so unbearable. I have to sniff medication oil to
avoid the bad smell. I kept asking my Thai friends, Tung and Yai
what are we waiting for. Tung jokingly told me we are waiting for Batman
and I don’t understand. Later we heard a lot of bat sound and saw an endless
stream of bats flying out from a cave hole. Wow, I think there are hundred
of thousands or maybe more because when we leave the place, the stream
of bats still flying out. Now only I understand that Tung want us to see
this incredible sight. I saw such scene in documentary film and never thought
that I will see it with my own eyes one day.
