A Special Thank You To Ron Leigh for the photos
Ron Leigh's Aviation Art
The information I received from Michael Faley, the 100th Bomb Group Historian says that the photo of my dad on the previous page was a graduation photo just before my dad went overseas. Mr Faley said my father was wearing an enlisted man's Army Air Corp uniform and looked like he was wearing the Good Conduct medal(i know my father received this medal) and American Campaign medal ribbons. He further stated that his lapel circular badges would have US on one side and "Wing and Prop" on the side visible in pic. He tells me my father did serve in the 100th Bomb Group and was in the 418th Bomb Squadron, assigned to engineering. The HQSDET means Headquarters Detachment. I pray that somewhere someone has a copy of the 100th Bomb Group's Unit History and will somehow get my father's pic and send me a copy of it. As I stated on my other page...my father is on page 42 of the Unit History's Contrails book along with H.Moit,T.Gregory,(my dad)E.Farris, and I.Clark. I would also like to thank Michael and Ron and everyone else who has written to me and sent me information and photos. You guys have no idea what it means to me to know where my dad was during his time of service. My father was my hero in every way and although he passed away 29April1978,reliving his life through pictures and emails keeps his memory alive for me. May God Bless each and everyone of you. Thank you so much for all that you have helped me with.
A very special thank you to Michelle Lemmons for sending me her dad's book  The Forgotten Man-The Mechanic. God Bless Michelle in all that you do.
I have to send another thank you out to Dianna for helping me with the 100th Bomb Group Contrails book. You have no idea how much this has meant to me. God Bless Dianna!
