My name is Rebecca Ann Farris-Raley. I was born in a small community in Texas called Teague. I was raised there and graduated high school there in May 1974. My parents were Elvin (Elb) and Margaret Farris and I have two brothers...older brother Donnie and younger brother Joe. My father passed away in 1978 at the age of 57 and my mother passed away in 1980 at the age of 50. Growing up in the 50's was a hard time for a girl...we weren't allowed to do the things that girls do now! I remember my daddy saying I wasnt going to date until I was 18 and I wasnt allowed to get my ears pierced cuz daddy said if God had wanted holes in my ears He would have put them there! lol My friend pierced my ears when i was around 14 with an ice cube and needle...yes it hurt. Going home it was a good thing I had long hair...stalled the inevitable "spanking" I was probably gonna get. (Didnt) And as far dating when I turned 18 by the time I turned 18 I had been married 10 months. Life was so simple and carefree now that I look back on it.  We didnt have much but we always had a roof over our heads, clean clothes to wear, and plenty to eat with just my dad working. I dont see how they did it with 3 kids but they did. I'm sure they did without alot of things just so us kids could have what we needed. I never got the chance to say thank you mom and dad....by the time I was old enough to realize the sacrifices they made it was too late.
I am now two months away from my 50th birthday...my how time flies when your having fun! I have been married to my second husband, Richard for 27 years now and we have 3 children of our own and  have 6 grandchildren.....4girls 2 boys. My family is my life. Even though they get on my nerves sometimes I am so blessed it is unbelievable. We are here for each other no matter what...we may not always have the answers to the problems but we all know the others are standing beside us holding us up when it looks as if we might fall. There are the usual squabbles between the kids....typical but of grown up kids? lol  Sibling rivalry never changes.
There are so many things I could sit here and write about but time is drawing late...it is now 3:20 in the morning and I have to be up early tomorrow. I have lots of pages to share with my online friends and family..even with complete strangers.  I will have links to my favorite sites and pics of my family in different places. So enjoy your visit and let me know what you think by signing my guestbook and comin back to visit often as you like.

oh! before I forget: Thank you mom and dad for everything...I miss you more and more everyday...i love you.

Now that my children have all moved away its just me and my husband in this big ol house. It gets really lonesome sometimes with husband gone all day and its just me here. I spend my time on the computer and doing my wifely chores. We recently moved to a small community called Groesbeck,Texas There's nothing like living in a small town cuz if you forget what you're doing your neighbors can probably remind you!
