| According to My Mother I was a pretty little girl quite the little ham at least that's what I know according to my mother. They said a special prayer of thanks when God sent me to them at least that's what I know according to my mother. I wasn't a tough birth a real piece of cake at least that's what I know according to my mother. I have the gift of song one I like to share at least that's what I know according to my mother. I never met a stranger I wasn't always good at least that's what I know according to my mother. |
I was a bright child I loved to read absorbed everything I could I loved to dance had lots of dreams I loved my little brother at least that's what I know according to my mother. I liked to write both songs and poems I lied sometimes I didn't always tell the truth at least that's what I know according to my mother. I was a happy child very content I had a healthy imagination I loved my dolls I played with cars at least that's what I know according to my mother. I am a fine young woman my long hair's my veil I'm beautiful at least that's what I know according to my mother. My first child now on it's way I'll make a fine new mother at least that's what I know according to my mother.
