On March 9, 1999, Our Tribe was honored by being invited to give the opening prayer on the floor of The House of Represenatives to begin the 1999 sesion of Legislature, State of Florida.
This was the first time our Creek language has been allowed to be a part of Florida governmental procedures. Former Vice-Chief Tim Tolbert gave the Lord's Prayer in the Creek language and Chairman Malcolm Reed translated it to English.
