I truly understand where your problem is coming from!! And NO it�s not true that your hair will grow back thicker. On any given Sunday I wouldn�t tell you not to listen to your mother but in this case SHAVE!!
By cutting the offending hairs off at skin level you are removing the fact that they are there(can�t see them) until you can start a more permanent process of removal. Have your mom look into �Electrolysis� it will take care of your mustache and sideburns for ever!

I am a African American female and I have really heavy sideburns and a mustache. My friends that already know me don�t care but going to a new school is hard enough with out all this extra hair. I shave it off behind my mother�s back because she says it will grow back thicker is this true?
What else can I do?
