| The Jurassic is the middle period of the Mesozoic Era. It starts 200 million years ago at the end of the Triassic and ends 135 million years ago at the beginning of the Cretaceous. It is divided into stages. Most geologic stages are arbitrary on a worldwide basis. They usually correspond with events in the geologic history of Europe where they were first introduced. |
