As one of a dozen available dinos, you can kick, punch and claw your opponent into submission and then laugh in their face as they bleed to death. Each backdrop is based on a familiar location from the movies, and they come complete with humans who are too damn stupid to stay away from these giant monsters. A quick press of a button will see these hapless sightseers turned into a quick, life-restoring snack - sick, but effective. One of the cooler effects is how, when you repeatedly hit a certain area of your opponent, they'll bruise and bleed quite realistically - it looks quite good when you've literally made your foe black and blue all over.
Gameplay wise, the fighting system works well. It's no Street Fighter or Tekken beater, to be sure, but there's plenty of scope for combination attacks and special manoeuvres that are guaranteed to cause some damage and look impressive at the same time. At the end of the day though, there's not enough beyond the cool premise to keep the game alive in the long run. It explains how the dinosaurs died out, though...
