Welp, this is my modest Jurassic Park collection.
It's not the biggest or most expensive in the world, but each item is a genuine Jurassic Park article, (not JP2 or JP3) and all items are original issue from 1990-1993, (not re-issues, replicas or reproductions).
I'm not a collector of anything really.
This started out as a desire to find and purchase a real Jurassic Park baseball hat.
Then me and some friends got into a friendly wager to see who could scrounge up the "coolest" JP stuff.
I found a bunch of things, mostly around 3 or 4 dollars, that could actually be used on a normal basis, worn, read, whatever, (no toys, action figures or lunch boxes, things like that), and the more I looked, the more I learned about the subtle nuances of collecting, what it really means to define something as authentic, how to spot fakes, what's MIB, NWT, etc. Some people even have it down to the exact lot number and manufacturer's code as to on what day an item is created, and what pallet it was shipped on. I'm just happy to finally have my baseball hat.
Sorry, no items are for sale, unless you come up with a million in cash! :-) (I also accept money orders and PayPal :-))

Jurassic Park Shopping bag.
When I bought the baseball hat, the seller was awesome enough to throw in at no extra charge a JP watch and this shopping bag, he acquired the day the movie was released in 1993. What an awesome dude.

This ISN'T a true Jurassic Park item (it's JP2-The Lost World), but it was included in a lot with two watches that I wanted so I'm stuck with it. :-)

Jurassic Park Gold Watch
Not sure about the origins of this item. This watch was included in a lot with a cereal box and another watch. It's gold with a leather strap and is inscribed TM & (c) 1992 U.S.C. Amblin. It is VERY elegant and will be reserved for only the most formal of occasions, like dinner at McDonalds or something.

Jurassic Park The Lost World Watch
Sorry again, This is a "Lost World" watch. The reason I bought this was because early in my eBay quest, it looked as if my hopes of finding a real Jurassic Park watch were all but nil. This was my second choice as a contingency plan. Of all the other TLW watches, I chose this one because the logo is actually adhered to the watch face (not pasted on the outside) and the wristband is transparent vinyl with little dinosaurs on it. Very chic'. At $24.00 dollars, it was the most expensive thing I bought.

|
Jurassic Park Watch
This is an official Jurassic Park watch from 1992. If you ever see one of these, buy it immediately. I have only seen 2 or 3 of these in the last year.
|
|
This is an original Jurassic Park paperback from 1993. "awesome looking cover". There is just something about a paperback that says "Summer is here!". This book belongs outside on a patio table next to a bottle of sun tan lotion and a tall glass of iced tea.

|
Jurassic Park Hard Cover - First Printing
This is a first edition "book club" edition of Jurassic Park. Contains no ISBN number and is physically smaller than the First Trade Edition, and the cover is black, not blue.

|
Jurassic Park - First Edition
This is a first edition Jurassic Park.
The last and final of all my Jurassic Park acquisitions.

Jurassic Park Movie
The VHS Jurassic Park movie, original video release from 1993.

|
Jurassic Park Coffee Cup
Although this is not the cup featured in the movie, (made my own) :-) this is pretty much the official Jurassic Park coffee cup. These are becoming fairly scarce.
|
|
A Dakin yellow logo cup.
More closely bears a resemblance to the actual cup in the movie, (yellow logo on black) but still holding out for an exact match. May have to petition for an actual screen-used prop, if they still exist.
This is another official DAKIN coffee cup, (c)1992

|
Jurassic Park Baseball cap
An original Jurassic Park baseball hat from 1993. My first eBay purchase. It's probably my most honored and grateful exchange of stewardship.
|
|
Jurassic Park Movie Poster
Bares the National Screen Service number "NSS#930005".
This is the Jurassic Park movie poster that was displayed at the Hotys Cinema in Enfield Connecticut the summer of 1993.

|
Jurassic Park Pin
I saved this piece for last. A promotional Jurassic Park pin.
For some reason, (besides the hat) this is my favorite piece. I have only seen one other of these, and I didn't bid on it cause the other guy seemed like an honest pin collector, so I'm glad to know it has a twin out there somewhere.

Thanks for viewing my collection.
It took about a year to acquire all this stuff and buying junk on eBay was a blast! :-) but the one thing I learned is it's the people that I've met and befriended that was the most rewarding part of the adventure.
