About Enquiry

Enquiry is the quiz club of Jadavpur University , Kolkata , one of the premier educational institutions of India. Although Jadavpureans (as you may call them !) have excelled in quizzing ,among all other things, for a long time(read this excerpt from an excellent article by Professor Abhijit Gupta, famous as Tintin-da in JU Campus) , this club is quite new. It was founded sometime around mid-2001 by two extremely enthusiastic quizzers --- Pradipta Ray (our Paddyda) and Suvankar Nag (our Shubhoda) , both 4th year CSE students of the university. By the end of 2001 , Enquiry took over as JU's official quiz club.


Now nearly three years old, Enquiry is a large community both online and offline. What began with 6 members (notably Somsubhra, Ayan, Arijit and Joydeep) has now over seven times that number of quizzers , spanning over almost all departments of the University. Recently, Enquiry has had members from other Kolkata institutions also.
