It is difficult to tell if the boyish handsome Sailor Uranus is really male or female, due to the aspect of her associated planet, Uranus, which has no particular "gender" in Japanese. Uranus is an expert driver, both cars and motorcycles. Her age unknown, but she is very wealthy, and lives in a mansion with Sailor Neptune. She id looked up to by all of the Scouts, especially Jupiter, who idolizes the atheletic Uranus.

When the evil of Nemesis tries to take over the Earth, Saturn appears to do just that, and then reverts to an infant who is placed in the care of Neptune and Uranus. When she reappears in Sailor Moon Stars, she quickly begins to mature into a young woman once more.
