These I have loved...

    These I have loved...

    The dancing brightness of a candle wick
    in a pool of shimmery wax; Roasting clouds on raven sticks;
    soft wet noses
    of bundles of fur; the delicious fragrance of velvet roses;
    Angel tears dropping on silky petals;
    Bubbling stew in kettles
    over open fires; The roaring cheer of grads
    throwing up their caps; the faces that make clowns so sad;
    firm ripples of sand;
    someone holding out their hand;
    The thunderous claps
    in the middle of the night; The sound of jean snaps;
    the murmured gurgle of a baby's laugh;
    the sounds of popping bubbles in a restful bath;
    the green folded frosting leaves
    on a birthday cake; woolen sleeves;
    the sparkling gleam in the bright eyes
    of new mothers; the satisfaction of a new buy;
    transcendent bulbs of colored lights
    nesting in Christmas trees; the sun setting into the night;

    All these I have loved.
