Around 1980 Meredith was in a "girl" band (or almost all girl band) called Lips in Seattle.
According to what I heard they had a "policy" not to have sex before a gig. They believed it will destroy the "sexual energy" they needed for the job. The band played heavy music and seemed to split up until 81.
