NEVERLAND SPECIAL
A little chat  with the cast of "Neverland" (Wink Up August Issue)
Miyake Ken: Okay, so let's see...
Ikuta Toma: Hold on a minute! I have something to say today!
Imai Tsubasa: What's this, all of a sudden? (laughs)
Murakami Shingo: Yes?
Ikuta: Umm, I heard that Ken took Tsubasa-kun, Murakami Shingo, and Tanaka Koki to eat
motsunikomi...
Murakami: Yeah, we went.
Miyake: To be exact, it was me and Tsubasa, and then me Murakami and Tanaka. I went twice.
Ikuta: So you did go. You went? Ummm, I'm the only one who hasen't gone yet...
Imai: Nah, you were there too...in our hearts.
Miyake: Yup, we were talking about only you during our meal. (laughs)
Ikuta: Liar! (laughs) You guys come and purposely brag to me that the
motsunikomi was delicious! You don't have to go out of your way just to tell me that!
Imai: Whatever...but the way you just said that really reminded me of Joshua. (laughs)
Miyake: Oh yeah! It does! (laughs)
Ikuta: Who cares about that?! (laughs)
Miyake: Well, Ikuta, you're always so busy...
Imai: You have "Pikaichi" and "Shonen Club"...
Miyake: Oh! And "Hadaka no Shonen" too!
Ikuta: Uh, no. I'm not on "Hadaka no Shonen". (laughs) Well, it's my goal for Ken-kun to take me to eat
motsunikomi during the shooting of this drama!
Miyake: Okay, okay! We'll go next time!
Ikuta: Then let's go tomorrow.
Miyake: I'm busy tomorrow.
Ikuta: I'm not busy.
Murakami: That's not for you to say! (laughs)
Miyake: This whole conversation up to now is just a joke so let's start getting down to business. Wink up-san (magazine) you don't have to write all of that down. (laughs) Okay, let's begin...
Ikuta: Hey, no! Please write all of that down! (laughs)

Murakami: Okay, now that this is the real thing, what do you guys all think about Ken-kun?
Miyake: You better not forget that whether or not you eat your
motsunikomi depends on this! (laughs)
Ikuta: ...he's a great guy!...as long as he's not teasing me. Like he sometimes asks, "Hey, where's Ikuta?" when I'm right there in front of him. (laughs)
Imai: It's just that with your adorable personality, it's impossible not to tease you.
Miyake: Exactly!
Ikuta: Really? I just hope it's not because I'm the only guy with the role as a dorm student, is it?
Miyake: Oh yeah, and you only have a few scenes.
Ikuta: There you go again, making it sound like my role is so minor! Please stop doing that! (laughs)
All: (laughs)
Miyake: How about you Murakami?
Murakami: To tell you the truth, I was very nervous at first. You see, I hadn't really met Ken-kun before. But I was really relieved when Ken-kun started talking to me on the first day.
Miyake: Oh yeah, I never really did talk with you before, Murakami, did I?
Murakami: Nope! Oh, but there was the time at my audition when Kamisen came up to me and told me to try my best.
Miyake: Oh yeah, I remember that. That was at the Osaka Hall right?
Imai: Oh wow, really? It's interesting to think that one of the guys from then is here with us right now.
Murakami: I thought, "Wow! They're stars!" but then...you know...
Miyake: What?! (laughs)
Miyake: You guys were so much quieter than how you are on TV.
Miyake: Nobody would come all cheery and say, "Hello! We're Kamisen!"
Murakami: Yeah, now that I think about it, you guys were just being normal.
Miyake: Oh yeah, speaking of Murakami Shingo, remember the "Blade Incident"?
Murakami: Hahahaha!
Imai: What? What's that?
Murakami: Oh yeah, when I met Ken-kun this time, I had to apologize to him.
Miyake: Yeah, he came up to me and started apologizing all of a sudden.
Murakami: When I was just in my first year of being a Johnnys Jr, I performed at one of V6's concerts. I had to roller blade around the stage while holding a flag.
Miyake: I'm starting to remember how Murakami looked then. (laughs)
Murakami: Well, I was desperate! I was so nervous that I forgot when I was supposed to return backstage, so I started skating at top speed to get back to center stage, but I was going so fast that I couldn't step on the brakes... I was thinking, "Oh no! What am I going to do?!" but then I saw the image of a person in front of me, so I grabbed onto him with all my might...
Miyake: And that was me.. (laughs)
Murakami: Well, he suddenly turned around and yelled, "What?!" at me, and I got so scared! (laughs)
Miyake: Hahaha, did I say that? That's funny... (laughs)
Imai: I bet anyone would say that if someone suddenly grabbed them from behind while they were changing! (laughs)
Murakami: Yeah...I would say that too! (laughs) Well, I didn't see Ken-kun much after that, so I figured I should apologize to him the next time I met him.
Miyake: And so he suddenly came at me with an apology...and I didn't even remeber about that incident, so I lied by saying "I've been waiting for that apoplogy, Murakami!" (laughs)
Imai: That's a good one. (laughs)

Miyake: We were juniors together for a short time, weren't we, Tsubasa?
Imai: Yeah! We even went camping together for a photo shoot for some magazine. Oh yeah, and that night you guys drew all over my face while I was sleeping... (laughs)
Miyake: I'm telling you now, but it was Inohara that started that! He said, "Okay, let's begin!" (laughs)
Imai: You guys drew fish scales on me! (laughs)
Miyake: In the end, we even took pictures of you. I still have those pictures in my room till this day.
Murakami: That's a pretty long time! (laughs)
Ikuta: I can't believe you didn't wake up!
Murakami: Well, once Tsubasa goes to sleep, he never wakes up!
Miyake: You know Tsubasa, during filming, whenever I look at him, he always seems to be doing his own thing. Like drawing pictures and stuff..
Murakami: Yeah...now that you mention it...
Ikuta: Yeah...
Murakami: And Ken, during lunch time, you always take your time to come to the cafeteria don't you? Every time I finish eating and try to make my way back to my dressing room, you come in and ask, "You're leaving already?" I wish you'd stop doing that right when I think of going to my dressing room to sleep. (laughs)
Miyake: Well, I never said to stay! I only asked if you're leaving already.
Murakami: But you always look at me with those lonely puppy dog eyes! (laughs)
Miyake: Okay, okay! By the way, Koki never comes to the cafeteria does he?
Murakami: He doesn't eat that much.
Ikuta: He cherishes his phone more than his meal. (laughs) He's always on the phone.
Imai: Really?
Murakami: You too, Ikuta!
Ikuta: I only made one phone call!
Murakami: Why are you so mad?! (laughs)
Miyake: Ikuta's still a little kid.
Ikuta: You just stepped all over me to make yourself look better, didn't you? (laughs)

Imai: Ken-kun, I have a favor to ask you too.
Miyake: What? Whenever you say that it makes me nervous. (laughs)
Imai: You know how Ken-kun likes to make up stories? He says stuff like, "That person over there is really wearing a costume and beneath it there's another person inside." (laughs)
Murakami: Yeah! Ken-kun makes up a lot of meaningless stories.
Miyake: Hey, that's my training to strengthen my imagination! (laughs)
Murakami: I can tell immediately if Ken-kun is lying or not. His eyes change when he's making up stories. (laughs)
Miyake: Like this?
All: Yes, that!
Ikuta: But thanks to Ken-kun, filming is really fun!
Imai: That's true!
Miyake: I've never really talked so much with Jrs before, but I'm having a lot of fun myself. Let's keep it this way until the last episode!
Ikuta: I may sound persistant, but please don't forget to take me to eat
motsunikomi! (laughs)
