Arashi

Arashi is Johnnys Jimusho's most freshest group. Just like their senpai SMAP and V6, Arashi is a dancing/singing group that does everything just as well as their seniors. They sing, dance, act...and now even host their own variety program! This five man group consists of Ohno Satoshi (chosen as leader after a round of "rock-paper-scissors"), Sakurai Sho, Aiba Masaki, Matsumoto Jun, and Ninomiya Kazunari. According to members, they were called into a meeting with Johnny-san and then were given the news that from that day on they would be "Arashi". Actually before the name "Arashi" it seems that this new group's name was difficult to decide on...there were even ourageous names like "?" (read as "Questions") in consideration as well. It is known that Arashi (except Ohno...he was away in Kyoto for a while) were close friends as juniors so they were quite happy to hear that they would be in the new group together. It is also known that Arashi as a whole are Tokio fanatics (after Aiba's influence). They love their music so it's not surprising to see Arashi perform many Tokio numbers during their concerts. Anyway, being the newest group, we can all look forward in watching Arashi grow and mature just like how all the other groups have. Let's be there when Arashi racks up a "storm" in the future! (ok, that was corny..sorry)

Known to always be in his own world, it's not surprising to see him staring out into space. Whenever Arashi is on Music Station, Ohno gets toyed with by the host, Tamori-san the most (just like V6's Junichi). Ohno is known to also have a strong rei-kan (ability to see ghosts) too. He once said that once when he was doing a musical at a theater that was famous for being old and haunted, he went backstage to change his costume and he saw a woman sticking half her body out through the wall! Ohno seems to be used to seeing creepy things so he said he wasn't particularly scared then, but after he thought about it later on, he got goose bumps!

Aiba Masaki
Birthdate: December 24, 1982
Birth Place: Chiba

Aiba's nickname is "super idol". He's great with acrobatics! Aiba has been in quite a few dramas..."V no Arashi" along with other Arashi members, "Bokura No Yuki~Miman City" along with MatsuJun and KinKi Kids, and recently "Muk Dono" with Tokio's Nagase Tomoya. Aiba also complains that his family's dog gets better treatment than him...his dog has its own air conditioner and Aiba doesn't! Sorry, I don't know too much about Aiba...can you tell? hehe >_<;

Matsumoto Jun (a.k.a. Matsu Jun)
Birthdate: August 30, 1983
Birth Place: Tokyo

MatsuJun has probably changed the most in Arashi. He started out as a cute, short little boy with a very round face but now he's all grown up! MatsuJun is also known as the 2nd generation Kindaichi. He was given the role as a much more cooler but still girl-crazy as ever Kindaichi Hajime in 2001's new Kindaichi drama.

Ninomiya Kazunari (a.k.a. Nino)
Brithdate: June 17, 1983
Birth Place: Tokyo

Weight: 51 kg

Nino has been in countless dramas. Possibly the most compared to the others in Arashi (besides MatsuJun). His least favorite season of the year is summer and he doesn't enjoy going to the pool or the beach...which is a bit ironic because Arashi made their debut on a boat in an ocean in Hawaii. Nino enjoyes playing the guitar and his famous for having a VERY messy room. He doesn't want fellow members of Arashi to come visit because he knows they'll be a bit taken back once they see his room.

Sakurai Sho
Birthdate: January 25, 1982
Birth Place: Tokyo
Blood Type: A
Height: 170 cm
Weight: 52 kg

Sakurai Sho is really smart! He's juggling his successful career along with being a full time student at Japan's most prestigious university. Although he's one of the tallest in Arashi now, Sho used to be very short as a Johnnys Jr. and people used to call him "mame" (bean). Sho for some reason (he doesn't even know why himself), is in charge of the rapping in Arashi.
