Flamecrest

Description:The flamecrest is a small perching bird, resembling a warbler. Its length is only 9 cm (3.6 in) and weight about 7 g,making it is the smallest of all Taiwan's endemic bird species, and the smallest and most colourful member of its family in the world.

Behaviour: Flamecrests are active and restless birds, hopping and fluttering about in the canopy. These lively songbirds are mainly solitary but will move around actively in small, loose flocks of their own species as well as with coal tits and Eurasian nuthatches.

Skylarks

Description:The Skylark, or as it is scientifically known, Alauda arvensis is a small greyish-brown passerine bird species with streaks all over its upper body and a pure white belly.

Behaviour: When the skylark takes flight it sings a beautifulsong, which can be clearly heard by all, although it can be difficult to see him as he flies 50 to 100 m above the ground, staying in one spot.

Falcons

Description:Falcons are medium sized birds of prey found all across the world although falcons tend to prefer the more temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Falcons are best known for their ruthlessness and their incredible flying abilities.

Behaviour: The flight of falcons is fast and direct with the wings rapidly digging through the air. Some falcons habitually hover while scanning the ground for prey. Falcons have been recorded diving at speeds of up to 200mph, meaning they are the fastest creatures on the planet!

Ravens

Description:Ravens are among the smartest of all birds, gaining a reputation for solving ever more complicated problems invented by ever more creative scientists. These big, sooty birds thrive among humans and in the back of beyond, stretching across the sky on easy, flowing wingbeats and filling the empty spaces with an echoing croak.
Behaviour: Common Ravens aren’t as social as crows; you tend to see them alone or in pairs except at food sources like landfills. Ravens are confident, inquisitive birds that strut around or occasionally bound forward with light, two-footed hops. In flight they are buoyant and graceful, interspersing soaring, gliding, and slow flaps.
