Malcom The Mushroom And The Big Freeze
Malcom The Mushroom was watching the news on TV. It came to the weather, and the weather girl was poiting at the map. Over Fungiland it was very hot and sunny, but in Scotland it was snowing. Malcom decided that, as he liked the snow, he would go to Glasgow. He packed his gloves, scarf and sledge, made sandwiches and packed his flask. He waved goodbye to his mum, cat, budgie, window, crysanthemum, shed, lawn, sink, cupboard, bed and chair and left to catch the train.

On the train he had lots of room. Because the trains are unreliable, he was the only person brave enough to risk it; still, he managed to arrive in Glasgow 3 weeks later, which isn't bad.

In Glasgow, it was snowing. He built a snowman, threw snowballs and went sledging. He thought it was tremendous fun!

After a week's holiday Malcom returned to Fungiland, and, to his delight, found it was snowing there. He played in the snow and found that eating ice cream whilst having a picnic in the snow is quite pleasant but very cold.

He decided to tell his mum about his adventure in Glasgow, so he did. She was very attentive and asked questions. One of the questions she asked was "Why did you go to Glasgow?". To which Malcom replied "Because it was snowing there of course!".
