The Tyne Review

The new rejuvenated Vodz line up proved they haven't stopped developing or honing there Act.

The first two numbers of the evening
'Alibi' and 'Its Not Dark Enough Yet' set the pace nicely capturing the audiences attention for the third song 'Breathe Underwater', a mood enhancing peace featuring Chris' lewd lyrics, based on the more debauched aspects of his private life.

However on to
'Days of Men' the showcase number, an absolute classic, well arranged and well played, with a lyrical stance of an independent political correspondent, thought provoking indeed.

The second set bounces along with
'Punch theDrunk' kicking things off. 'Pictures of youNaked' as the title suggests sees Chris leering, letching attitude as he scans the audience looking like Prince William after a glass of Dr. Jekylls potion.

'Molotov Cocktail'
highlights the guitar playing interplay of Terry and Greame while 'Saviour' raises the mood to an atmosphere zenith with its pounding Rhythm and Terry's hypnotic Riff. 'Strip Joint' closes the set as the crowd demands encores while all around would-be pop pundits sing the praises of this highly underestemated team.

Zeigiest Towers - April 2000

Well this one came out of nowhere and brightened up an otherwise drab day

An interesting combination of tradional rock, a little bit of Prog rhythm chucked in for good measure and just enough indie nous not to scare of the NME contigent. All rather Clever.

Of the three tracks on this EP,
'Breathe Underwater' is the most commercial on offer and wouldn't sound out of place on Steve Lamaq Radio 1 Show.

'Molotov Cocktail'
is a moody little number that gets under your skin, buts it 'Go Go Angel' that proves to be the most addictive ditty of all, with a swirling swooping riff and a chorus that leaps out of nowhere before rushing back into hiding.

One of the best songs we've heard this year.
