The Shibuya Style!
Shibuya is one of the fashion districts of Tokyo. There are a bunch of clothing and department stores, ine of the most popular being 109. 109 is a mecca for Japanese kogyaru. What are kogyaru you may ask...well, they are the 15 - 19 year old girls who religously follow fashion fads. The herd mentally always amuses me.

It always amazes me when I see just how crowded Tokyo is. One of these days I am going to have to take some pics of the trains during rush hour. Good lord! We are people not sardines!!! Yamamba: A group of teenage girls with unique make-up (e.g. false eyelashes, white eyeliner and white lipstick), big, grey hair, and extremely san-tanned skin. Although they resemble kogyaru's, yamamba's have achieved the highest notoriety by going to the extreme of kogyaru's aesthetics. The media, perplexed and offended, gave them the name "yamamba", which actually is a traditional character in the Noh and Kabuki theater: a lady monster.
