shadow: Whatever. The Absolute Destiny: Apocalypse.
The shadow girls don't get a play in this episode, per se, but they get their five minutes
of fame. Usually the "next time on Utena" sequence is done by Utena and Anthy, but the
shadow girls do it this time because Utena is busy being stabbed and Anthy is busy doing
the stabbing.
This sequence is more comedy than anything else, but the shadow girls are still sharp as
ever on summing up the show. Like they said, Utena was unable to be Akio's princess or
Anthy's prince, but ended up being the hero anyway - if not quite a "prince".
This episode, though, is more a reflection of Ikuhara's sense of humor than anything else.
