Episode 21: "Troublesome Insects"

"Snipsnipsnip!"

C-ko: Extra! Extra! Extra!
C-ko: Any bad insects here? Any bad insects here?
C-ko: Oh, it's Namahage! (an ogre-like demon)
C-ko: No, I'm a mantis. Snipsnipsnip!
C-ko: Everyone, hurry up and run!
C-ko: Snipsnipsnip!
C-ko: Run! Run!
C-ko: Snipsnipsnipsnip!
C-ko: Run! Runrunrun!
C-ko: Snipsnipnipsnipsnipsnisnipsnips!
C-ko: Runrunrunrurunrunrun!
C-ko: Damn, just running away won't fix this. Take this insecticide!
C-ko: Can't breathe, snip...
C-ko: We're gonna die, too!
C-ko: It's a curse...
Utena: That's a room deodorant.

Heh. I find this skit far too funny.

In a can, Nanami is a bitch. She spreads her insecticide everywhere to keep "vermin" away from her brother, but in the process, she drives away people who mean no harm, like Keiko.

Of course, this is somewhat due to jealousy on her part.

Like C-ko said, this IS a curse. Nanami certainly isn't making friends this way, and if she really did have control over who her brother hung out with (or made out with), it wouldn't be good for Touga in the end anyway.

At any rate, EVERYONE is vermin to Nanami. Her wrath is quite impartial (to everyone except Touga, that is).

Of course, the wrath of an adolescent girl is not worth much - it's really only room deodorant, and if you have any self-esteem at all you can squash her like the vermin she is (such as Utena does, though in a slightly nicer way.)
