A-ko: I wonder, I wonder... do you know what I wonder?
B-ko:: Ma'am, did you know...
B-ko: ...the whole town is talking about the upcoming ball?
A-ko: Calling it a "ball" sounds nice enough, but it's really just a place for hunting boys.
B-ko: Young ladies today are so low.
A-ko&B-ko: How shameless!
Girls often go after their crushes at dances, but this play is taking that tactic to the
next level.
Nanami is going hunting here. She's definitely the predator, and her goal is simple: To
humiliate Anthy so that Touga will pay more attention to her (Nanami is under the delusion
that Touga is in love with Anthy for about half of the first arc. After that she begins to
realize that Touga is after Utena).
Nanami, from start to finish, is totally shameless, and quite low in her methods (never
getting her hands dirty, watching smugly as her lackey does it for her).
I suppose, in the end, Nanami *is* a young lady hunting a boy.
