Here is an overview of some calls that our juniors have helped in over the years.
April 8, 2004 Lincoln Boro: Station 147 was activated for their rope rescue team for a man over a 50 ft hill side in lower Lincoln Boro. Rescue 147 responded with juniors Matt Salim and John Mckenzie, and squad and SOV 147 responded with junior John Walter. Juniors assisted with setting up a 4 to 1 ratio haul system and also helped with the setup of a saftey line. Juniors assisted with hauling of patient up and then transported the patiant to an awaiting EMS unit. Units on scene included E-184, Tanker-184, R-183, E-142, R-123, Squad and SOV 147, and R-147.
January 27, 2004 Elizabeth Township: A first alarm rescue assignment was transmitted for a MVA with injures. The accident involved one of the township salt trucks. Units on the first alarm included E-143, Service 143, and Rescue 147. Rescue 147 called enroute secured heavy. Deputy 143 arrived on scene and reported a salt truck on its side with entrapment and all units procede with cation due to bad road conditions. Deputy requested that Truck 144 and E-145 be activated for assistance. Rescue 147 had lots of trouble getting to the scene due to icy roads, but eventualy arrived on scene with the help of another salt truck salting the road. Truck 144 was unable to leave the garage due to icy conditions the truck would slide right back into the garage, so squad 144 called enroute to assist 147. Rescue 147 crews removed the roof of the truck to extricate the driver. Units on scene included Engine 143, Service 143, Rescue 147, Engine and Squad 145, and Squad 144.
September 22, 2003 Elizabeth Township: A first alarm assignment was transmited for a MVA with entrapment in the Boston section of the township. Rescue 147 called enroute within minutes with four including junior firefighter/EMT jJohn Walter. Asst. 144 arrived on the scene and reported all occupents out of the car, but the car is on its side in a creek with the patient on top of the car. Rescue 147 stabillized the vehicle and helped the EMS package the patient on a backboard and secured the victim in a stokes basket and moved the patient up the hill. Juniors from station 144 included Randy Johnson, Terry Bartman, and Colt Copeland. Units on scene included Squad 141 Truck 144, and Rescue 147.
April 17, 2003 16:46 Lincoln Boro: A first alarm assignment was activate for a reported structure fire with confirmed entrapment. Engine-147 and Tower 147 left within a minute of each other with full crews on both pieces of apparatus, and Rescue 147 was just behind them. Engine-147 and Engine-142 arrived simultaneously to find heavy fire venting out sides 1,3,4. Engine-147 arrive withe juniors Matt Salim and John Walter. Junior John Walter assisted with fire suppresion with the use of E-147 Deluge Gun. Junior  Matt Salim assisted in esablishing a water supply from E-142 (on the hydrant) to E-147. Tower 147 arrived then and set up on side 4 of the structure and extended to the second floor window, and the crews started to extinguish the fire. Tower 147 crew then made several attempts to enter the strucure to the trapped female, but they were unable to save the trapped female after being driven out of the house several times. 147 units on scene included E-147, T-147, and Rescue 147.
April 10, 2003 20:37  Elizabeth Twp:  Central VFC was activated for a reported chimmney fire in the Highland Meadows section of the township. Engine and truck 147 were at a drill at a burn house at the time of the incident and immediatly responded, and the station responded quickly with the Rescue and Squad 147. The Rescue was first on scene with junior firefighter John Walter and reported light smoke coming from the house. Tower-147 and Engine-147 arrive a minute after. Tower-147 set up in front of the house and used ground ladders to access the roof. Tower 147's crew immediatly advanced to the roof. Engine-147 hit the hydrant on the way in and pulled an 1 3/4 line to the front of the structure for stand-by. Engine-147 sent crews into the structure to investigate. Crews from 147 found the fire burned itself out of the chimmney. Crews then venalated the structure. Crews from stations 147, 145, 143, 142, 144, and westmoreland station 103 filled station 147. Additional crews from 147 were standing fast in the station including junior firefighters Henry Holets, John Mckenzie, and Matt Salim. 147 units on scene were E-147, T-147, and R-147.
March 23, 2003 14:30  Forward Twp:  Central VFC was activated for a Brush Fire in the Bunola Section of Forward Township. Command 156 requested that 147 respond with SOV 147. On the intial activation we crewed with six including junior firefighters Matt Salim, and John Walter. We were enroute within minutes with our SOV, Squad, and Support. Upon our arrival and entry back into the fire we requested that our tones be reactivated for an additional crew. The station answered immediatly and Rescue and Engine 147 called enroute immediatly with full crews including juniors Henry Holets, and John Mckenzie. 147 units on scene included SOV-147, SQUAD-147, SUPPORT-147, RESCUE-147, and ENGINE-147.
