NEWS - October 2002:
Wanted everyone to know that it is now Fall and there is still not Junior Mint activity. Like a wounded animal in abandon, has junior fallen?..

NEWS - June 2002:
(An update merely to keep the site from going down due to activity.)

Grooves have been on the shelf with a few other things but please hold tight and flood the junior mint email line with requests to remain active... your support is crucial to productivity. I'm talking directly to the small hit count democratic community here. That means you specifically hold an incredible power in sparking a new song. Send me a title and I will work with it. Thats much more influence than your national vote in 2004, which by the way should be a write in for Charles Dumar.

NEWS - August 2001:
Breakdown with your rake down. Now bag the leaves.

Fall is in the air and Junior Mint relocation to island of Manhattan has been acheived... but overall spark of fresh street magic compositions has not been as successful. Junior Mint 5 continues to be a reality and a constant project, but for the time being the Groovebox is lending it's hand to some more serious compositions.

Here is something recently completed on the Groovebox, but attributed to a new and untitled project of the future...

Battle at SONGFIGHT.com is still pending for the future, and Junior Mint online music videos are still in the works inside the noble one's brain. Junior Mint Pinto Matchbox Car has been delayed another few weeks and is now expected to be released in November of 2034. Thats alright, in time for Christmas. Sorry things have been slow, but I appreciate your support and patience... all ye citizens of groovetown.

Hi there, thanks for checking out Junior Mint 5, a project in music joy. It's a single fellow that uses a groovebox machine thing and a dr-5 thing to write beat laden songs that for some reason flow from his supple fingertips. The music is electronic and is just plain useless in the real world, so therefore is funfunfun.

Yea, early versions of some Junior Mint songs are here for you to sample and fall in love with if that is your decision, but perhaps an "official" release will occur sometime in the 2002. Possible cover art is seen to the left, I'd like to perfect the Junior Mint style and achieve full fledged underground notoriety (atleast 10 fans) before I commence CD-R mode. All of these have been written in 2001, the year of the monolith.

Here are some tasty sample treats for you:
(MP3's compressed, mostly to 48kbs, 44khz MONO. Try Winamp.)

Turqouise Jumpsuit: This is perhaps one of Junior Mint's more serious tunes, its quite a club piece, Jazzy tripy hip hoppy, whatever. I wanted to try one of those beats where the snare goes crazy, and thus this tune is here. When Junior Mint performs at blasting raves or partys, or birthday partys, bar b ques, Bar Mitzvahs, or alone in his room, perhaps he will wear a turquoise jumpsuit. If you only have time to hear one tune, perhaps hear this one.

Before This Car I Had A Bike: I'm sure we all can remember the days before driving automobiles when we rode on two wheeled bicycles. Days were simpler and friends were simpler and easier to track down, and wind hit your face and hills were scary and you had to make it home for dinner and riding to the strip mall was an adventure. Since Junior Mint is such a hit with the kids, I'll bet many of you are still on bikes, and I aknowledge you and request you cherish your time and rip it up. This is an ode to simpler days and water bottles and helmets and sentimental BS.

Power UP: A nice little tune with a groovin beat. This was written on the first night that Junior Mint and the MC-307 truly embraced, it was pure button pushing inspiration. Did you ever think that when Mario got his little fire flower it was a little odd that he flung firey orbs from somewhere around his nose? I found it quite befuddling. Quite. Anyway, this song breaks little beat blocks and gathers coins that spin... Mario would be proud.

Aquaman Jam: Just as the yetti gets down when Doctor 5 releases soundwaves of fury, Aquaman is called to his feet when Junior Mint plays this tune. Imagine Aquaman doing his Aquaman thing... but gettin down. Like he was swimming around saving the world from the multitude of world threatening fish or something (what a loser) and then he comes across an undersea band of urchins and sea horses and other sea creatures jamming this tune, so he stops to bond and get funky.

Baby Mint: Recorded in about 10 minutes, has a real nice beat, its a nice smooth ride. A more serious piece, has a flow to it. Kind of a latenite dance club number... rolling up in your pinto.

Its a Nice F*cking Day: Written on a very nice day. Once I started with the ocean sounds there was no turning back and it sort of became a little beach number. Like you're just chilling on the beach and begin to notice an abundance of crabs with tophats and you're sort of confused but then they all circle around you and start playing intoxicating music and dancing with canes and shit. So naturally, you join in and embrace the fucking nice day, celebrating with some crab homies.

Please Visit Our Concession Stands: Some nicer piano stuff with a little beat and some pull and flow. Its like... you see those dancing hotdog and popcorn bags from the beginning of old movies with the "Don't smoke, be quiet, visit our... etc." well, imagine that its more of a plea, a cry for help and its a junior mint box that is dancing but crying as well... like hes all "please support my candy, the biggest press I ever get was on a seinfeld episode and from this spectacular beat creater Junior Mint 5. So yea.

I Get Down When Eating My Cheerios: A simple tune to act as an ode to cheerios. As a friend of mine commented, its the kind of song you would start your day out with, much like a nice bowl of my favorite classic. Imagine a regular breakfast routine turning into a choreographed dance-a-thon complete with people in big 'O' suits all dancing behind me. I would actually invent a new dance move called "The Cheerio," I can't explain it right now cause its very secret and special but man, it rules.

March of the Robots: A very peculiar groove, much like some weird march of robots. Like you're watching a parade and everything seems normal when the "high school marching band" that was playing normal music begins to reveal they are indeed robots and they play this funkae song while stripping their fake human skins. Something like that. You know you'd be into it though, appalled perhaps, but you'd be grooving.

Song To Make Oneself Happy: All done on DR-5 and computer software in the days before the Groovebox. Quite a nice tune, meant to make you happy. 808 drums and happy little synth line evoke smile and laugther. Harmony of good times and jovial days should cause listener to erupt with pleasure and merryment. Enjoy!

Thank you for taking an interest in Junior Mint, tell all your friends about me. If you need a fresh act for your party, show, bar b que, or just me and you in your room, email me.

I suggest you take a look at my associates; Doctor 5 (the origin of the 5) and Jeff Stultz, they're making music for the annals of history as well... perhaps I will collaborate with them in the future.

I would like to thank my two fans (friends): Tony and Mark
