The Clothes we Wear
By Clyde Murphy

I got to thinking the other day, just take a look around your hunting camp or club.  Notice all the clothes your friends, relatives and just plain hunting buddy's are wearing.  Some might be new jazzed upout fits. Like
Mossy Oaks New Forest Floor, or they might be old Realtree Treebark pattern.  Whatever they are, you know they are worn with pride for the sport we so dearly love.  Everyone knows that no hunting outfit is complete without a funny looking hat, its just something that all hunters hatfa have.  My funny hat of choice is a military issue boonie hat, very
comfortable and is a good watershed on those days it might be raining.  My dad gave this hat as a Christmas present three of four years ago, it's the same as the one he's had for 20-some-odd years, since he got out of the Marine Co.

These are the preferred clothes of me for deer season.  Not brand new and not real fancy, but there what I chose to wear through the thick and thin, and the short and tall.

                   My Shirts
My preferred hunting shirts are a Realtree Advantage short sleeve pocket T-shirt over my long john top.  Then with my button up Realtree Treebark on over that. It's a Redhead button up I've been wearing since I was twelve years old, My uncle gave it to me way back then.  The first time I ever
wore this shirt hunting I killed my first deer, and its been a part of my arsenal ever since.  I've just grown into it the past couple of years, being a XL I had to do some growing before it would fit just right.

                  My Jacket
Oh yes my jacket, probably the most important piece of clothing I have. I just bought this jacket the first of deer season.  It's a Tall Timber brand, Fall Timber pattern that I got from our local Bill's Dollar Store insulated and very warm.  It has two breast pockets, and two waist pockets.
It's a 2-XL plenty big enough to wear over my other clothes and still have a comfortable fit.
