The Good Old Days . . .
i attended the upper school at annie wright for four years on a scholarship.  best risk i ever took.  it's a co-ed day school until ninth grade; grades nine thru twelve are a girls' day/boarding school.  it's snotty but it was a damn good education -- both in and out of class.  the halls echo now with voices i don't recognize, but i have many good memories to fill my head.

my class bonded like no other ... part of the uniform is a tie (not like a necktie; more like a strip of ribbon we put under our collars and tied into a bow) and the color of your tie indicates the class you are in (you keep your color all four years and it becomes somewhat of a rivalry, like a school spirit thing).  we were the red ties, the red peppers.  we still have parties, even though we graduated in 1998.  RED PEPPERS FOREVER!!
