SHORTHANDED SENSER'S DROPS TWO;
EASTIRO, FANUCCI FEUD ESCALATES

ROSEVILLE, MN- Game 2 of the evening saw Senser's take the field with nine players as Dan Hinrichs got off the bus and onto the field. "Kinda disputed if you ask me, that kid going out and getting a job," outfielder Tim Bruns stated. "Now what am I going to do when I go home for lunch- I mean, no one's going to be playing Pac-Man or Dig Dug." The game started rather ominously for Senser's, as the eight players in the field suffered strained necks by watching all kinds of balls sail out of the park. "Good Lord," ex-manager Mike Dirksen grumbled in the field, "they've hit their home run limit and we haven't even got a #$!@*&@ hit yet." This was in the top of the second inning after a feeble 1-2-3 Senser's first. After the limit was hit, the tables started to slowly turn for Senser's as Brette Hjelle induced three home run outs off the opposition's bats. Finally, after 10 jacks from the other guys, Ryan Thomas stepped to the plate and belted a dinger. Not to be outdone, Jeremy Kletzin followed up with a solo shot of his own. Normally, for most softball teams, there is no joy after a solo dong, but for Senser's, who in 10 games has a total of 11 jacks, that rules doesn't apply. "Man, that was a tough dinger," Kletzin said of his at-bat. "I really had to dook bad, so I wanted that AB done with as soon as possible." Perhaps that was why Kletzin did not run out his home run. Unfortunately for Senser's, the game ran out of innings as they were making their charge back from a 13-0 deficit. The final score was 15-10, and it also marked the end of Eastiro's season-long hitting streak. "Just give me the MVMP right now," Eastiro said through a translator on the way to the parking lot.

The bar was rather laid back as the troops just could not equal the intensity of last week's 25-pitcher performance. Manager Eastiro was especially wiped out, after a 2-for-10 day and a crazy night on Wednesday. "Man, I can't even hardly look at that stuff," referring to the full glass of beer sitting in front of him. Eastiro did, however, inject some controversy on the team when he engineered a jersey swap between himself and Jayme Forstrom. "Wow, yours is a lot bigger than Pete's," Forstrom remarked when she came back wearing the #2. The big event of the night was to see Fanucci's reaction to Forstrom wearing the #2 and seeing all of the scandalous pictures from Jayme's "Aquatennials and Officers" party the prior weekend.

Swelvax Player of the Week:
Jeremy Kletzin. Fought off a turtlehead pokin' out in his home run at bat. Also added a double and three runs in a 6-for-8 evening.

MVMP of the Week, presented by Mike Biebl:
Eastiro. He said he deserved it after a 2-for-10 performance. The jinx of the #1 power ranked player continues.
