ROSEVILLE, MN- Sick of watching the Senser's 12 bumble around the diamond yet another Thursday, God dialed up three straight days of rain, forcing the postponement of the night's games. "After everything I've been through this week, I just couldn't bear the thought of watching Eastiro manage," archangel Gabriel told our live eye in the sky. "I lobbied hard for the Big Guy to do something about it- apparently he wasn't going to take any chances by making it rain only on the night of the game. He can make it quit anytime now though, I've got a tee time on Saturday and I don't really feel like taking out the waterproof wings. They inhibit my swing."
Forced off the field, select members of the team made the journey to Senser's anyway, earning points toward the MVBP award (Most Valuable Bar Performer) and putting another $92.15 toward the end-of-year party. Senser's now is closing in on the $700 mark, which puts the team on pace for a $1,750 season tab. Last year the team fell just short of the post-season party with an estimated $1,000 tab.
Next week is the second of six consecutive 6:00 games, unless it is still raining.
