The man formerly known simply as "East" or "Eastside" by his parents and teammates hails from the Eastside of St. Paul. He provides a left-handed stick at the top of the order that makes Ted Williams jealous. Last seasons MVP, Eastiro was not satisfied with his performance. The hitter of the last homerun of the year last season, Eastiro provided immediate impact with a disputed fence enhanced grand slam in his second at bat of the year. He will be the first to point out that it was his first official at bat, due to a walk in the first inning. The off-season work out program he went on appears to be working properly. Already he has earned one Swelvax Player of the Week award for his 5-for-6, 5 run performance in the first week of the season, but negated it with an MVMP on June 7 with a 2-for-10 night. A steady first baseman, Eastiro fields balls with grace. A very consistent bar performer, Eastiro likes his Chicken Fingers with extra barbecue sauce. |
