What else can be said about a man who can throw a knuckleball with a softball. An amazing pitcher, Brette has an uncanny ability to hit the catcher�s glove with laser like accuracy. Never wavering on the mound, Brette will not back down from any hitter and will continue to pitch inside all evening long. When this young sparkplug is hitting, watch out in right field. He sports a classic "inside out" swing and speed that frightens the weak players on opposing teams. His 6-for-8 night, coupled with a fine pitching performance, earned Brette the May 31 Swelvax Player of the Week award. Not much of a drinker, Hjelle tends to shy from the bar although he was one hell of a designated driver in college.
