COMPUTERS
¡¡
I can¡¯t read Hangul, so many programs are too difficult for me to use. I tried learning how to type Hangul. They let me use the Internet for email to Canada and Seoul, but I pay for the computer time. Occasionally, I use the WP and type in English and Hangul. I talk a lot with a teacher about computers and the Internet. It¡¯s possible the school could develop a Homepage. If I had a computer, maybe I could help with this effort. If I need a computer to prepare classroom material, I often need to ask for help. It¡¯s possible email pen-pals in English speaking countries could be established, but the school is not that well networked on the Internet. Maybe I could teach a grade six class how to do that, i.e. ¡°Go to soc.culture.canada and ask I want an email friend in Canada. I am Korean and I am twelve years old.¡± The multi-media language classroom in the school is very superior and the owner said I might be able to use it with my classes. That¡¯s an interesting proposition and I might make use of it. By and large I like the multi-media approach.
