Setting: Antonia�s apartment.
(Antonia comes into her apartment and slams the door.)
Antonia: I can�t believe this. (She picks up the phone and dials) Pick up the phone�pick UP the phone�PICK UP THE PHONE NOW!
Megan: (picks up the phone) Party central.
Antonia: Is Julia there?
Megan: Hold please. (Screams away from the phone) JULIA! PHONE FOR YOU!
Julia: (in the distance) COMING!
Megan: (into the phone) She�s coming.
Antonia: Thanks.
Julia: (takes the phone) Hello hello.
Antonia: Jules I�m in crisis.
Julia: Hi Tony what�s up?
Antonia: Mom has gone too far this time.
Julia: (sits down on her bed and starts fumbling through some of her CD�s) What did she do now?
Antonia: She thinks that I need a boyfriend.
Julia: Oh poor you. What�s so bad about that? (She picks a CD, gets up, and walks over to her CD player)
Antonia: She thinks I need a FAMOUS boyfriend.
Julia: Again I�m not seeing the problem. (She puts the CD in and hits play)
Antonia: Do you know who she wants me to date?!
Julia: (lies down on her bed) Who?
Antonia: (hears the music playing through the phone) THEM!
Julia: (looks around) Them who? There�s no guys here�and trust me if there were I�d know.
Antonia: (takes a deep breath) Mom wants me to date�a Backstreet Boy.
Julia: (falls off bed) WHAT?!
Antonia: She�s over there right now talking with people to get this to happen. I can�t believe this.
Julia: (gets up and sits down on her bed. Trying to remain calm) Which�one?
Antonia: I don�t know. I think she said something like DJ or PJ?
Julia: AJ?!
Antonia: Yeah something like that.
Julia: (gets up and starts to pace) OH MY GOD! Oh my god. My sister�my flesh and blood�MY TWIN�is going to date�AJ MCLEAN!
Antonia: Apparently.
Julia: And you�re not happy about this at all?!
Antonia: I don�t even know who the hell they are.
Julia: You�re not my twin. It can�t be possible.
Antonia: Believe it sis�it�s possible. I�m not into that whole pop music stuff.
Julia: I know but still�that guy is hot!
Antonia: Yeah well I�m being forced to date him. That is�if he agrees to this stupid thing.
Julia: Knowing mom, I don�t think he�ll have a choice.
Antonia: I know�that�s what I�m afraid of.
Julia: Damnit�I got to go to class. You better call me when mom gets home with the news�I could meet all of them. (Screams) I can�t believe it!
Antonia: I�m so glad you aren�t here.
Julia: Hey.
Antonia: Love ya Jules.
Julia: Love ya Tony. Talk to ya later.
Antonia: Bye. (They both hang up)
(A few seconds later Antonia�s mom, Maria, walks in)
Maria: Honey I�m home.
Antonia: Great.
Maria: And boy do I have news for you.
Antonia: I�m sure you do.
Maria: Come in the kitchen and we�ll discuss it over dinner.
Antonia: I thought you said I wasn�t allowed to eat because I was getting to fat?
Maria: Yes that�s true�that is why I�m making you a salad.
Antonia: Mmmmm roughage. (Walks into the kitchen and sits down at the table)
Maria: As you know I went to go see AJ and his manager.
Antonia: Yippee.
Maria: Antonia�we are doing this for your career.
Antonia: We mother?
Maria: Yes Antonia. You might not know this but this is for the best.
Antonia: It�s Tony mom and I don�t need any help from some stupid boy band singer.
Maria: Well you have no choice. The arrangements are made. You will start going to their concerts as soon as possible. They have one in this area a week from now. And you WILL be there. You�ll meet him tomorrow. He�s coming over here.
Antonia: He�s coming HERE?
Maria: Yes. You have to meet him before to work out some of the details.
Antonia: Details?
Maria: Yes like where you met and stuff like that.
Antonia: Sounds like you have this all planned out mother.
Maria: It�s for the best Antonia. (Hands her her salad) Now eat up.
Antonia: I�m not hungry anymore. (Gets up and goes to her room)
