| Centimeters to Feet and Inches | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hi
I just received a set of AutoCad plans in centimeters. I need them in feet and inches. Is there anyway that a novice like me can convert these automatically? Are there some simple steps to do this? Or do I have to labor through my conversion calculator and then remake all the plans in PDF and insert the inches/feet? Thanks Bob Springer |

| Bob, Use the scale command and scale "all" to grab everything in model space then use the conversion factor of 0.3937008. Set your ddunits to Architectural and everything should be fine. I use some freeware software converter for most of conversion which could be helpful for you too and can be found at http://joshmadison.com/article/convert-for-windows (Josh if you are reading this THANKS) You also might want to read one of my articles on units http://www.geocities.com/junglejimy/QnApg31.html Thank You Jim |
