Scaling with a different X and Y factor

Jack,

There is a way to scale something with a different X
and Y factor. You have to first make a block of the
objects you want to scale with either "bmake" or
"wblock". Then you insert the block back into the
drawing using a new X scale and Y scale. Explode the block and everything is back to individual entities. I wish it were easier in AutoCAD but there's not. There
should be an option to the scale command but, there's not. I use this technique on profile views to show a vertical exaggeration.
