Featured Dilemma:

The minus's of A2K

Paul,

With A2K one of the things that Autodesk did is that if you want a command to work like it did in R12-R14 without a dialoge box you use a "-" minus in front of it. Type in
-ATTEDIT and it works like you want it to and it used to. This is the same kind of problem Sam Elharrar was having on page 8. Sam was using the layer command and in A2K the layer command now has a dialoge box. So if Sam put a "-" in front the Layer command works just it used to.

Good luck!
Jim

Jim,

I've visited a couple of time and found some of you tips quite handy. Thanks for a great page.  Now for my question. In ACAD12-14 I was able to change the size of text in an attribute block by typing in "ATTEDIT" and picking the text or attribute I wanted to change. How's this done in 2000? Whenever I type in "ATTEDIT" the dialog box opens.

Thanks again,
Paul Tolar -
