FOLLOW THE SON 

Do you ever wonder what you would have done

If you had been chosen one of the twelve to follow the son?

We say Peter denied Him, not once but three

But what about our denials, you and me?

When he tells us to witness in front of a friend

And we fail to do it, we have denied Him again.

Well, we say Thomas doubted and of course this is true

But has there ever been a time when you have doubted too?

When they led Him up the hill and they nailed Him up high

All the apostles had fled, only John watched Him die.

But how many times have we left Him alone?

Left Him still hanging there for our sins to atone.

But our savior is not nailed and tied to a tree

He rose from the dead to set us all free

And though one of the twelve I was not chosen to be

I can still serve my Lord, yes even me.
